Victorian Charm

Top: Lilies Boutique; Skirt: H&M; Shoes: JC Penney; Bracelet: Great-grand Aunt's victorian charm bracelet (similar)

This beautiful victorian era sterling silver puff heart charm bracelet belonged to a great grand aunt, through my maternal line. It belonged to my grandmother before she passed it along to my mother, and now, I'm the keeper of the jingling bracelet. This is the noisiest bracelet I've ever heard or worn, but it makes the most dainty sound, as if the little heart charms were wrist wind-chimes. Each heart is unique - embedded with a stone, monogrammed, or intricately etched and designed.

It makes me feel remarkably close to those that came before me, and those that are a part of me, if not in our living realm but in our deep ancestral past. I am honored to be able to wear something that was so clearly cherished, collected, and kept beautiful. I hope that my jewelry stands the test of time and my dainty necklaces and strands of pearls can grace the necks and wrists of my great grandchildren in one hundred years.
