With my brother gone, my neurotic brain is back to pondering the giant anxieties in my life and ugh, I'm exhausted. I need a brain break. I'm currently doing some of the most stressful things anyone deals with: job hunting, apartment hunting (remotely and in an expensive, crowded city), planning moving, and worrying about finances as we "downsize." Anyone want to swap lives for a second? I'd be happy to adopt some of your problems for a day if you like this kind of transitional uncertainty.
In good news, I've had a couple of bites on the job front and finally have a focus for my career search. It's so much nicer to be applying to specific career paths instead of everything-that-doesn't-require-experience like my post-grad searches two years ago.
As for apartments, we hope to drive down to Portland to look more seriously but have received some good advice about staying close to public transportation lines and areas that are nice to live, but not too overpriced and sketchy. I am excited to eventually explore our new city, but we have a few months on that one! A trip to Hawaii is in between and I need to focus more positively on looking forward to that (but whoops, I have travel anxiety too!).
With finances on the brain, I'm trying harder than ever to make this blog more profitable. But I'm working especially hard to maintain sponsorships and collaborations that really reflect this blog without all the money woes mixed in. I am, in any case, so thrilled that I have the chance to earn something with the blog. It's my favorite thing to do every day and it makes perfect sense to me that it'd also be self-supporting.
Hope you're all off to a great start this week! Linking up with Style Sessions.

I totally own those shorts! They are so cute. I haven't worn them yet because I need to get them tailored. They didn't have my size in store OR online so I bought them a little big with plans to alter them. I never seem to get around to it though. Good luck apartment hunting!
