With the cruel heat, I'm on the hunt for the coolest fabrics, brightest colors, and most bearable clothes to wear that still look fun and stylish. I'm sure you all in the South and other ridiculously hot areas of the world are used to the battle between style and comfort in warm weather. It's nearly impossible. I have been wearing chiffon to work to pick up a breeze and trying to avoid anything that could stick to my skin (read: wearing only cotton clothes).
In my hunt for pretty clothing for my upcoming Hawaii vacation (not as hot as here, and with tropical breezes), I ended up knee deep in SheInside's gorgeous clothing. Do you see the color palette above? And each of the items is under $50! One of my favorites is the nude dress at the top that looks like it would give you a ballerina tutu spin when you wear it. I'm also loving the pale and bright yellows in their new arrivals like the gorgeous dress with a full skirt and the jacket with zipper detail.
Blue pleated skirt ($32) / Turquoise pocket short ($22) / Yellow and black shorts ($31) / Lace shorts ($23) / Contrast mint shorts ($21) / Embroidery shorts ($31)
I also have a closet entirely devoid of shorts and short summer skirts that are presentable (I have a pair of distressed F21 jean shorts that I bought to attend a rodeo and then my newer Gap neon shorts that I adore). My skirts are all work appropriate which is great for work but not so great for weekend fun! I was totally taken in by summery separates options on SheInside - mint, yellow, color-blocked, lace, crocheted, eyelet and scalloped detail? Come home to me, colorful shorts!
Which items would you add to your summer wardrobe?
