Quick question Portland - why is it 90 degrees today, 95 degrees tomorrow, and continuing in the low 90s for the rest of the week? I couldn't even comfortably wear this cardigan to work today. Unacceptable, I say! Let's get back into the mid-70s and have a picnic.
In other news it has been a rough week. So rough in fact that last night we bought a pizza at the store and when we opened it to find that the packaging had been opened inside the box and the pizza effectively spoiled (for me - I'm food-poisoning-phobic), I cried myself to sleep, hysterically. Well, that's real life for you guys. Sometimes, I am taking outfit photos and look really pleased and sometimes I'm laying in bed holding my stuffed elephant sobbing while Ben pats my head at 9 p.m.
But today, at the end of a long day full of miniature failures that added insult to a pile of personal injuries, I got my hair cut! Hooray! I found a great little Aveda salon next to my apartment and after getting a head massage and sniffing my freshly cut locks that are no longer a field-day for split ends, I felt immensely better. But that could be the chilled bottle of rose (now in my tummy) talking. And I have great things to look forward to tomorrow: Fall into Fashion in downtown Portland with Jane. I will be sure to take some photos and report on the fun Portland "fashion week" happenings!
P.S. This cardigan is killing me softly with its song, killing me softly. I cannot get enough of the fact that I can safely transport my stripes into fall with this piece. Banana has an awesome sale going on right now, so you can get it for a discount if you're interested.

Woo, looking forward to doing something fun tomorrow! This week has been blah for me too, so I'm glad to have something fun to look forward to tomorrow! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe weather is crazy right now! I was just happened to check the weather on my phone and couldn't believe the sizzle forecast before me. And here I've been buying all these Fall pieces - only to have them sit in waiting bc its so darn hot. Oh well, before you know it we'll be complaining about the rain so we better take it while we can. Sorry to hear that you're having a rough week, keep your head up, and keep the wine flowing (that always helps). Love that cardi by the way, such a great piece. ;)

It's supposed to be 95 here today too but I'm loving it while it lasts because soon I'll be complaining that it's cold. The striped cardi is really cute!
