Other awesome sandals from Joie and Sam Edelman
There aren't many times in my life when I feel like I can do it all, but today was one of those days. I got up with my alarm, packaged up a set of custom wedding invitations to mail, headed to work where I actually interviewed an active candidate on the phone (I'm phone shy and it's not really part of my job, therefore it caused a lot of anxiety). At lunch I mailed the wedding invites, walked a mile and a half to the paper store to buy some final pieces for inspirational photo-shoots. I saw some of my calligraphy work on Instagram at the beautiful The Cream event in LA. When I got home, I made final arrangements with my wedding photographers, finished some signage for the wedding, and wrapped up some inspirational shoot calligraphy pieces. I then made a pie crust, went to the gym for some cardio, and came home and filled the pie with key lime filling for a work event. Now? Blogging away. Phew. But, it seriously felt like a win of a day.
There are people that do this on a regular basis. Those superhero people that are usually named "Mom." I honestly think back to my childhood and recall my mom making baked goods for us for school events, driving us to and from school, going to work, coming home and starting dinner, then going for a three mileforced march walk with the dog, coming home to serve dinner, and then helping us finish our homework. No wonder moms stay alive with nightly wine! I am sitting here with a glass of Pinot myself thinking that there is no way in heck I could ever do this every single day. Usually just going to work and getting home is enough for me. Nevermind working out, baking pie, and creating calligraphy pieces.
In other news, this outfit is clearly from one of our sunny weekends here in PDX (I'm super behind) and though the weather is changing a bit, I have these items packed away in my suitcase for Hawaii! The countdown? We leave in 6 days!
