Blue Jean Baby

Everyone always raves about how versatile a chambray button up shirt is, but really they weren't overstating it. This is only my second time styling it (first time here) and I am so excited about the possibilities! On kind of a separate note, I haven't been very big into tucking in my shirt in quite a few years, but I'm really sort of in love with it lately. It really can clean up a look. Plus, I'm a fan of any small outfit tweak that keeps your clothes in place. There's nothing more aggravating then spending your day worrying that your blouse is constantly riding up or that your skirt has somehow twirled itself around and is now facing backwards. Everything I wore today stayed precisely the I wanted it to with zero fussing. And that includes my hair which I bobby pinned into submission.

Chambray Shirt: Old Navy (similar)
Belt: Nordstrom (Brass Plum)
Jeans: H&M
Flats: JC Penney

  2. Very cute casual outfit. I'm not too big on denim believe it or not, but I really like this!

  3. Do you like the Old Navy Chambray shirt? I've been looking for the perfect one, and so far, Madewell is the only brand I've found that makes one.
    Love the outfit!

    1. I love it! It's a much softer/thinner fabric than your typical denim, but I kind of feel like that makes it more versatile. It would be easy to tie at the bottom, looks good open or button, tucked or untucked. And you just can't beat the price!

  7. The denim on denim look is so cute! For a while, I was afraid of too much denim--visions of JT & Britney in their denim-on-denim scared me, but you look great!

  9. I love how you styled your chambray shirt! If you believe it or not, I bought my first chambray shirt in my lift last august, and since then I styled it in so many different ways - I really don't know how I could live without it ;-)
