Summer refuses to show its pretty face here in Washington and so it was another day of layering pretty dresses with cardigans for some much-needed warmth. ELLE magazine this month said if a woman wears florals right she can look like a piece of art - exactly what drew me to this soft, bright cardigan. I never wear prints this bold unless they're in a calmer set of colors (like black and blue) so this was a fun experiment and I did feel like a pretty piece of art all day. I just bought this dress from the Loft as well and due to the uncooperative weather, it has served primarily as a skirt - layered with a cable knit sweater, a leather jacket, and now a cardigan. Here's hoping I can show off some shoulder in the coming weeks with some warm weather.
