Never Again

As my plane returning from Denver sat on the tarmac last night, delayed for an hour, with mechanical problems I thought "never again." It was the last in a long line of travel hurdles that day and at midnight I really just couldn't take it anymore. But I'm back in Portland, slept in my own bed (if only for a few hours), and am ready for the weekend to start. One more work day to complete and then freedom!

I came home to a bouquet of a roses and a clean house, all courtesy of Ben, who wins the award for most thoughtful and who I would have probably bear-hugged if I wasn't already in a zombie state. Pictures to come later this evening of some outfit I hope to sleepily pull together, but until then, if you're traveling this weekend, I hope you don't have nearly the struggle I did and beware the airport security lines. Even last night, they were insane.

Happy Friday, finally.

  1. Ugh, I've been there and it sucks! But Ben is SO sweet for cleaning and having a bouquet for you! What a great guy!

  2. Ugh, travel delays are the worst! I can totally relate to that feeling and it sucks :( Glad you made it home safe though! Have a great weekend :)

  3. Hate when that happens, enjoy being back and your flowers!

  4. Aw! Thats so sweet that he got you a bouquet of flowers! Happy weekend!

  5. GOSH!!! i hate airports and airlines! argh, so annoying! but what a sweet surprise to come home to! <3

  6. Ugh... bummer.. but sit back and relax and detox from your travel woes with a little champagne.. you deserve it!

  7. It's always lovely to come home!
