Okay, I've officially hit my mid-November holiday-planning freak out point. I made a mini calendar the other day of everything I have to get done in the 38 days left until Christmas (yes, you read that right, Winter is coming) and realized that with Thanksgiving thrown into the mix and my upcoming December cookies and cocktails party that Jane and I are hosting... I have one free weekend in December left to do things.
Upcoming events, chronologically, are Thanksgiving preparation including cleaning, cooking, planning a table setting, and having a guest in town. Then I've got that weekend to get a Christmas tree before hosting a holiday party. The holiday party is a beast itself, with invitations to go out, food to be planned and baked, cocktails to be dreamt up, and cute decor items to be strategically placed around the apartment. Then we have the Christmas season with holiday work parties, holiday brunches, tree lightings, and other festive events. And then the looming potential move (we look at apartments today) in mid-December or January. Ack! How do I even have time to shop the sales and pick up the rest of the gift list. I'm sweating just thinking about it.
If you're smart and shop online for gifts, much of this panic can be solved in a one-click payment, so in the spirit of saving you time - check out these steals of the week from GroopDealz. I am loving the dainty bird necklace below and their recent influx of fun boots.
