Heffalumps and Woozles

Top: c/o Aeropostale; Necklace: c/o Our World Boutique (similar); Pants: Gap; Flats: Nine West

Ben and I are watching the old 1970s Winnie the Pooh movie tonight and feeling nostalgic. We also feel that we relate to Pooh and Piglet. Ben is always after a sweet snack (and often has fluff in his ear that prevents him from listening to what anyone is saying) and I'm always worried about something and skittering from place to place. Sometimes it's nice to sit back with a childhood memory and reminisce about when it used to be so magically new. The E.E. Milne Winnie the Pooh books and classic films are something that I want to surround my kids with, as I remember poring over the books as a kid and I now have a collection of classic Pooh stuffed animals that help me sleep every single night.

I'm sure we'll be on to catching up on The Walking Dead soon enough, but for a second, it feels pretty fun to sit around with favorite characters Tigger, Roo, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, Christopher Robbin, Eeyore and the dynamic duo. There's very little scary about this series or serious, except for the heffalumps and woozles in that scary clown-ish scene. A perfect break from the world.

  8. I have never seen that movie, but now might have to get my hands on a copy. I missed out on all the childhood books and movies, and am slowly catching up now. :) Love the color on you and that necklace is beautiful.
