Stay Out of the Rain

Raincoat: c/o Rain Caper; Sweater (similar, similar 2), pants: H&M; Tank: c/o Lulu*s (similar); Flats: Nine West; Bracelet, ring: Stella and Dot

It is a stressful week in the house here. Ben has a massive exam on Friday and I have a holiday party to plan at work and a series of increasingly bad headaches that must be associated with the weather. It has been cold and wet, wet and cold, with off and on deep fog that makes the whole city look eerie in the evening dark. This morning I couldn't see across the Willamette and coming home, faced the same gloom. It felt like some scene out of a London murder mystery, the street lamps glowing disembodied and people appearing out of the fog like shadows.

I'm ready for a blizzard (hey East coast, share with us!) or some sunshine and pretty pre-Christmas blue-skies. But it looks like we're in for some more rain. I'm so excited to have this new rain cape to keep me dry and stylish (for when I'm not interested in wearing my oh-so-Northwest Columbia shell). The print, if you didn't notice it in the photos, is of cats and dogs. So apropos. And darling.

Hope you're all staying dry, or warm and out of the snow. What're your pre-Christmas plans?

  1. The print on the raincoat is super cute!! And love the birds in flight caught on camera.
There hasn't been much rain in my area (touch wood) but still damp and frosty.

  4. Love that raincoat - adorbs is right! I'd gladly share this weather with you! It's 4* right now, yes, 4... a single digit. It hasn't been this harsh so quickly since I was a kid! I'm jealous you can wear flats outside though :)
