Tomorrow I'm going on a work field trip and team bonding experience that involves a waiver saying that I won't hold the venue/company liable for my potential death. You'd think I was going sky-diving (nope, not gonna happen... ever), but we're actually going curling. For those that didn't watch reruns of the winter Olympics during late college nights, it's a sport where teams of four slide a 42 lb. weight across an ice rink to land in a target.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to make a fool of myself while in athletic gear on a sheet of ice sliding a 42 lb. weight around. I have a really difficult time standing upright on normal surfaces much less icy ones. We'll see. And if I die tomorrow playing the sport so dauntingly called "Chess on Ice," then I can't hold anyone liable but my uncoordinated self.
On a style note, I wore this monochrome look to work today and am loving two things about it: going monochrome with bold color blocking and embellished necklines and ankle-strap heels. Lulu*s even has a category for them on the website and I can't say enough about how flattering they are!
