On the Move

Sweater: H&M (similar save, similar splurge); Jeans: Gap; Boots: c/o Aeropostale (similar); Clutch: Lauren Merkin

When your blog's biggest fan (it's my grandmother!) tells you that you've been slacking on the blog, it might be time to get yourself in gear and take some outfit photos. Whoops, people. I've been moving, cleaning, leaving my job, preparing for a friend's visit to Portland, and trying to sleep at least six hours each night... it hasn't been an easy past week and the holidays derailed any sense of commitment I had (to anything but wine).

But I got out of bed this morning and took these photos even though I was exhausted from moving, hadn't had my coffee yet, and am still trying to make sense of the new apartment layout. The "hadn't had my coffee yet" piece is reflected in my droopy eyes and slack-jawed look. I don't function without it. In any case, I am marking taking photos as a success of the day and can now get back to the cleaning, the moving, the installing of new furniture, the crying over Ikea's stupid dowel-connectors, and vacuuming the now dusty floors. Phew! Happy weekend!

  1. I'm impressed you were able to.. like... put pants on pre-coffee!
Also I really like the whole ankle boot+socks+rolled up cuffs thing... very nifty; and those socks look comfy. That is all.

  5. You look gorgeous! But, I completely get you with the commitment thing. It's been difficult for me too, especially when my job is so tiresome - coming home to more work on a computer sometimes is daunting.
