A State Away

Ben and I took these photos on the Columbia River today, up in Vancouver, Washington. We originally headed out to go beer-tasting at a few Couv breweries, but got hungry, split a sandwich at the riverside McMenamins and then felt like we'd gotten enough adventure and spent our $15 daily fun budget (we're officially wedding broke and in dire need of a strict savings plan) and headed home. Before getting back on the road and heading across the river, we took a little stroll along the waterfront in search of a wild bunny we'd seen in the grass. Ben was able to snap a photo of the super cute, super speedy, and altogether soft-looking cottontail before he dashed off to eat more dandelions.

Sometimes the most surprising things happen in the most surprising places. A wild bunny running around a populated dining area? Not something you see every day. An entirely awesome, relaxing, perfect weekend day that only cost $15? Not something that happens every day.

P.S.  This new monogrammed necklace from One Necklace's new Etsy shop hasn't left my neck in a week. It's replaced my silver One Necklace monogram as my favorite every-day jewelry. I think it's ready for a break from hanging out with me, but too bad. I'm getting as much as I can out of my beloved monogram before it changes.
