Beach Day in Bed

Tank: c/o Style Lately
PopSugar Must Have Box c/o (for $10 a month's subscription use code: JUNESELECT10)

Have you ever been so in need of a vacation that you take one at home? A pampered day of lounging around with a beach read, face masks, and nail painting? I have to say that lacking any money or vacation time at work has led me to these dire straits of planning my own at-home vacation. Sadly the only shore nearby is the shore of our kinda-filthy river and it happens to be hailing and thundering all day and under 65 degrees. The least ideal beachy weather.

Luckily my house is warm, I just got this pineapple tank in the mail and received a free-trial of the PopSugar Must Have box for June. It just happened to be a beachy-themed box featuring a pretty bottle of lotion, cute hair ties perfect for putting up wet hair in a messy beach bun, these epic wet wipes for hand sanitizing (they smell of sweet lemon), a turkish towel, and most-excitingly, a beach read.

Is it just me or does everyone go crazy for new, un-read hardcover books? Getting this read from Emily Giffin (a great chic lit novelist if you haven't heard of her) made me weak in the knees for a day spent in bed reading. The un-cracked spine, the smell of newness and guilty pleasure reading. Mm. Okay, I think it may just be me and that I am definitely a weirdo.

After some quality relaxing hours this evening reading, I feel marginally re-energized for the week that's plugging along slowly. When in need of a beach vacation but lacking money, sometimes the closest thing is a subscription box featuring the beachiest of scents and activities and a long evening spent in bed listening to the rain... it's water too, right?

POPSUGAR provided me with a complimentary POPSUGAR Must Have box. The opinions I have shared about the box are my own and POPSUGAR did not tell me what to say or how to say it.
