Top: SugarLips c/o 9th & Elm; Skirt: J.Crew; Necklace: c/o Our World Boutique; Heels: Nine West
It was a long week. Full of weird rainstorms, second-long sunbursts, tiffs with friends, delicious BBQ, lots of Scrubs, a neighbor cat trying to fight our cat through the front-window screen, and some weird heat-nightmares. Some weeks deserve to disappear with a cocktail-filled weekend and some new clothes to set the summer mood. This top (from the online shop that features handmade designers, 9th and Elm) particularly, seemed to make the week fade quickly away into the weekend. Loosely crocheted floral patterns in a bit of a festival blouse is the opposite of the work-week. Hallelujah! All I need is to find my ripped up rodeo shorts and I'm ready for some Coachella-redux.
Other than some wanders around the city and cooking at home, we've been laying very low this weekend. We're definitely trying to curb our spending and that pretty much means lurking around inside watching TV. It doesn't sound particularly fun for the summer weekends, but we've actually been having bizarre rainy weather that doesn't make for any fun outside time. I expect things to look up as soon as we launch into July. We also just discovered the apartment BBQ area with some nice propane grills that are available for all residents to use. We're going to work on perfecting our BBQ chicken recipe. Any tips from people that frequently grill?
Have a great Sunday, all! And don't forget to enter the 9th and Elm giveaway. They're celebrating their birthday with $500 in gift cards!

I'm in Omaha and we've been having some really strange weather as well...when it's constantly changing from extreme heat and sun to sudden thunderstorms and lightening, it's hard to figure out what to do. I always feel a funk when the weather can't make up its mind...! Your look is gorgeous, and I'm hoping next week straightens out for you :) I adore your blog xx

These look great! We don't do buns or tortillas but I have yet to master the lettuce cup, also. Messy. But I will try again!
