Top: Ann Taylor (similar); Skirt: Gap (similar); Shoes: JC Penney; Necklace: rice pearls handed down from my Mom; Jade bracelet: Macy's
If you hadn't noticed already, I'm a bit obsessed with hydrangeas - they're one of my favorite flowers and apparently my favorite blog title post... whoops! But seriously, check out these purple beauties behind me!
Back to serious blogging: I haven't been shopping for clothes as much as usual so it was just my luck that my mom came into town with some family heirloom jewelry and some pretty tops she no longer wore. This is one of them - a favorite of mine from Ann Taylor in a very light blue. These sleeves are just to die for, little chiffon petals that highlight long arms and dainty wrists. Nestled in the chiffon is my new jade bracelet that looks pretty with just about anything, and at the collar of the blouse are little freshwater "rice krispie" pearls that were handed down from my mom. Apparently they were crappy pearls from the 70s and 80s that are now relatively rare.
What're your favorite family heirloom pieces or hand-me-downs?
In other news, we randomly selected a winner for the $50 Shabby Apple giveaway! Congratulations to Tammy H! See the post here!
