Poppyseeds and Puffed Sleeves

I'm ever so slightly dipping my toe into fall. The weather here is hinting at the season ahead and stores here and there are beginning to stock their autumn collections. It is my all time favorite season. This sweet little blouse caught my eye on Saturday and I just knew it would be a great way to move from summer to fall. My purple cardigan is a subtle nod to my soon-to-be school colors, but mostly I'm just a sucker for purple, as well as fantastic elbow patches! 

These purple flats are actually a hand me down (or maybe a hand me up?) from my coworker's 13 year old daughter. Last summer I gifted her some of my shoes that were in nice condition but that I just didn't wear for one reason or another and she was thrilled. She has now all but surpassed me in height and is now passing her cute shoes to me! She's a very stylish 13 year old, so I'm more than happy to accept the shoe karma. 

And here's my most favorite part of all! My husband returned from visiting his grandpa and brought me back a beautiful selection from his great grandmother's jewelry! You will see many of them in the coming posts, and here I am wearing the sweetest little pearl sweater clip. It is the PERFECT accessory for an aspiring librarian!
