Spring in Winter

Jacket: The Limited (similar); Top: Gap; Skirt: Lilies boutique; Shoes; Prabal Gurung for Target; Scarf: H&M

Tonight Ben and I are drinking wine and watching the Oscars (currently tweeting about the red carpet show here: @ladiesinnavy, join me!), so I thought a bit of a dressed-up weekend outfit was in order. Also, though it doesn't show well here in the misty gloom of our Sunday weather, I'm pretty sure Anne Hathaway and I are wearing the same lip-color.

When we went into the park today to take photos, I refused to wear appropriate clothes and basically froze to death with a skirt and spring sandals on. It also started to rain on us while we took photos, but judging by the chill that rain should have been sleet. The grainy and dark photos here were produced by my Holga lens attachment for my T4i - it's a great little cheap lens that makes experimenting with light really fun.

  10. I have a similar skirt (just a little longer) and I have not worn it in the winter. Never thought to put it with a leather jacket. Duh!! I have to try it now!

  19. I was going to say I'm jealous of your bare leg weather until I read on! haha.

I love the Holga effect. I have a Holga 120 that I used to shoot a lot of film photography with. I love the medium format cameras and I love that there's a lens option for DSLRs! I'll have to look into that.
