Fish and Chips at Titlow

The weather has taken a turn into the too-hot spectrum. We've broken out the spray bottles to cool down in the hot apartment and we've been cleared to wear summer casual clothes to work for the ninety degree weather to come. Ugh. How do you folks in hot climates stand it? I'm guessing you might have AC there... not so much in the Pacific Northwest.

After work on Friday I asked Ben to pick me up from work with sunglasses in hand and directed him down to Titlow beach on the west side of town. I'd never been to the little picturesque spot right below the Narrows Bridge and was thrilled to explore the rocky shore. We stopped in at a small fish and chips restaurant where Ben ate some delicious salmon and I had a huckleberry ice cream cone. It made the hot day much more bearable and fun. We then watched the trains go by and I sweated profusely for a good hour in the hot afternoon.

Today we're recovering from too much fun with our neighbors last night and will head out to go to a guided painting and wine drinking class/event down the street. I'm excited to paint a little boat on a canvas and drink Washington wines as a double date with friends! Happy weekend!

Linking up with Sunday Style.
