Rose Garden + $50 Anthropologie Giveaway!

Top: Target; Dress (similar spend, similar spendsimilar splurge), shoes: H&M; Jacket: The Limited (similar save, similar spend); Purse: Thrifted Coach; Bangle: Forever 21 (similar)

I'm beginning to think the question shouldn't be "what can I wear this chambray with?" but "is there anything I can't wear this chambray with?" If there's an answer to the latter, I haven't found it yet. I paired the chambray today over a dress I've worn out to parties and clubs and it dressed it down and provided me with a new, remixed outfit. It's seriously a miracle item. Best $20 I ever spent at Target.

We visited the rose garden Sunday in the mist and enjoyed smelling the flowers and strolling amongst the beautiful blooms. I love roses - they're so varied and versatile and can be so perfect. It's crazy that nature can make something so exquisitely lovely. Ben and I discussed our favorite flowers as we walked and have totally different ideas. I love cultivated, big blooms like peonies and roses and he loves wildflowers (and according to him he likes "plants" better than "flowers"... whatever). I think it sums up much about our personality differences in one little example. Cultivated versus simple. Extravagant versus basic. But all in all, they're gorgeous examples of nature.

In honor of the beginning of summer and the awesome summer sales, I'm teaming up with the beautiful and stylish Nina of After the 40 Bar Finish to give away a whopping $50 to Anthropologie today! Enter via Rafflecopter below by following her on (and Ladies in Navy) on social media and a winner will be announced next Monday! Start brainstorming, because Anthro has some awesome peasant blouses for summer and beautiful bright button downs on sale right now!

  17. What a beautiful garden! As someone who is squeamish around bees, I always fear what one of those archway gardens would be like. LOL. And yes...chambray goes with everything! I have a dark chambray shirt, but think I need a more traditional faded one to really get full use out of it.
