I haven't discussed my teeth too much on this blog because, well, they're teeth, but recently I had the chance to try out a Sonicare PowerUp toothbrush and I was pretty blown away. My dentist is constantly griping at me that I need to get a Sonicare (over and over, I tell you), but the price point has always been way to high for me. The two dollar two-pack of regular, old toothbrushes in pink and green has been my go-to for the past... forever. The issue with this is that I'm a terrible brusher - it's so boring that I hate spending more than 30 seconds brushing my teeth. I know that between that apathy and my aversion to flossing, I am doing a really bad job at my oral hygiene but just ugh.
With the Sonicare PowerUp, I found a renewed vigor for the toothbrushing part of my life. For one, my teeth feel totally clean after a quick brushing and they're looking so much better (Sonicare's campaign slogan is "A month's worth of brush strokes in one day" and it sure feels like it's true). It's also reduced the immediate need to floss after brushing because it's just getting everything taken care of in one fell swoop. And second - the PowerUp is under $20 at Walmart. What? It definitely brushes like a swanky, higher priced model and absolutely outperforms my cheap, regular toothbrushes.
Stay up to date with Sonicare on Facebook here. And if those pictures of my teeth didn't convince you yet, think about the fact that you're using 5,000 year-old technology when brushing your teeth with a manual toothbrush. Time for an update? P.S. I hope you'll pardon the brief lack of full outfit posts - I am getting settled into my new job and each day has been pretty exhausting. By the time I get home, I am just ready to sit down and eat pounds of salami and drink about three beers... so you'll have to forgive me whilst I grind down on unhealthy foods for a bit!
