High End Style with Sears

Jacket, top: c/o Sears

One of the key things I look for when shopping in the Fall is high-end style for less (less because I don't have more to spend). I love luxurious and expensive looking items like leather paneled skirts and soft sweaters because they can look expensive and put together without breaking the bank. When I went shopping at Sears, I was looking for something that looked luxe, but didn't cost me a fortune because it's rain gear season after all and I am spending my big bucks on that which is water repellent.

When I was younger, someone told me that they thought I had a lot of money because I dressed well. I've always tried to keep that in mind when buying clothes. You don't need to spend $200 per T-Shirt or $3,000 per handbag to look well-dressed. Today when I was looking for fall work-wear that looked high-end, I focused on pieces that were on trend but not too trendy. On the too-trendy gamut is camouflage, neon, and studs. Falling in between and into the classy category is olive and black, piping, pretty collars, nicely cut jackets, and boucle. I think you can make any outfit look ten times better with a flattering jacket layered over your blouse. I think that this insanely priced jacket (on sale for $8 after I used my Shop Your Way Rewards, what?!) is cut perfectly to fit over a blouse and pencil skirt. It also has the perfect texture and pattern to go with just about anything! This outfit is a great example of dressing well for less money - the jacket at $8 and the top at about $30, comprised half of my outfit for under $50. That's a steal! Check out some other items I'd love to have purchased in my Shop Your Way catalog.

Please be sure to check out the Live SoFab magazine with great tips for dressing well as we head into the Fall. It includes some cute ways to wear blazers and darker colors in both casual and dressed up ways.

  11. $8 bucks for the jacket - amazing! I collect jackets because I think they perfectly finish an outfit. Love the cut of yours and I think it would look equally great with a casual tee and jeans. Great finds - love the outfit.
