I picked up these pants at the Gap today on a whim - they looked professional and totally out of my normal "lug into the dressing room" fare. And now I'm never taking these off. I just want to get a giant grey wool coat at H&M and strut about with oxblood or black loafers and high heels all Fall. Is that possible, PNW, will you hold off on the rain for the Fall, just for me? Nope? Okay.
Our friends are gone, back to Tacoma, and we are returning to our normal routine of me on the couch watching old episodes of ANTM and Ben at the table studying anatomy. I can hear his classical music through my headphones and see his anatomy textbooks staring back at me. Today it's the torso - cross-sectioned all blue and red. We just finished a usual Ben-and-Kelsey dinner of garbanzo bean curry and are headed into the tea portion of the evening before heading to bed in about an hour and a half. There's not much I love more than evenings in our apartment alone. The cat is usually quiet, napping near the kitchen where the walls are cool or curled into my pillow when the evening is chilly. This dishwasher is running a quiet, swishy tune and the apartment smells like dryer sheets. Happy home perfection.
It makes me so happy to know that I am so content to be at home, doing just about nothing, as it's very often what I am doing. Mm, peace (and awesome pants).
