Menswear

Men's top: H&M (in store); Pants: Gap; Heels: BCBG

What is it about menswear that makes me feel ultra-feminine? Perhaps it's the loose fit that makes you feel so comfortable in your own skin? Maybe it's the fact that you're getting away with wearing clothing designed for the other sex? Or maybe it's the empowerment that comes with wearing something totally different from your normal closet go-tos. Whatever it is, I love it. This shirt belongs to Ben, in fact he has it in three colors. It's the most comfortable item I can imagine wearing. So envious that men get to prance around all day in loose-fitting and soft tees. Why did we get stuck with bandage dresses and pencil skirts, ladies?

These pants already give me a menswear feeling - must be the plaid - so I thought it'd be a good opportunity to go shopping on the left hand side of the closet for something new. I do think it's critical to dress menswear up with something very feminine like a high pair of heels or dainty jewelry otherwise it can look a bit too slouchy.

This weekend I started Breaking Bad (I'd given one episode a shot a year or so ago and quit due to the high-intensity). I'm now binge-watching it in an unhealthy way but so obsessed. Keeping this post short so that I can join Walter back in his lab.
