My first day of work today went really well - I walked into a welcoming, happy environment and am so excited to learn more over the coming days, weeks, months, etc. Now, tired, I'm relaxing with wine, Pinterest, and TV and want to take my mind of first-week anxieties so I can have a fresh start tomorrow.

I put on this fun, silly, non-winter appropriate outfit for in-apartment outfit photos today and have to be honest that it's not warm enough outside to forgo tights. But there come times when we need to kick off the million layers and try on something we'd rather be wearing. I'd rather be wearing this than multi-layered sweaters and tops. (I did wear this top and cardigan combination for my first day of work today and plan on wearing these shoes tomorrow, so there's some honesty in the pieces above. That skirt was just an "ooh the apartment is warm" afterthought.)

I think that the reason these photos are so uncharacteristically smiley is because I'm so happy at starting a new job and new chapter in my 2014 life. Ben and I have our 5th anniversary approaching and some upcoming days off when we might go stay somewhere on the Oregon coast (or inland) for our celebration. The month looks promising! I just need to get my head down, learn everything I can at work, and enjoy this process of newness. Happy Monday!
