Clipping Coupons

I have always been a deal-hunter. Full-price is usually a foreign word to me unless I am gifted with birthday money. Over time I've discovered that there is really no reason, unless it's an emergency or a wedding, that you need to pay full price for clothes. Sales are on about once a week and you just need to be equipped with the email notifications and a good eye for sale racks.

Tips for hitting the sales?

1. Look out for new arrivals. They usually need to clear space for them by putting a ton of clothes on the sale rack. This is especially true in the spring season when stores are full of spring attire like shorts and we're still wearing heavy coats.

2. If you're shopping in store, plan ahead by looking up sales online. I usually either use the company website, their promo emails (try signing up for their mailing list prior to shopping. You can often get 10% or more off). If you see a coupon online, it usually applies in store but is greater!

3. If you're shopping online, be sure to sign up for alerts on coupons or check frequently at a site like Coohpons that aggregates all sales in one place! Check out the sales below that are on today and starting tomorrow for some amazing deals you can shop today!

gap

Gap - Shorts; Striped tee; White jeans; Chambray; Cowl scarf; Terry sweatshirt

30% off at the Gap through Coohpons (starting 3/12)

40% off at Banana Republic through Coohpons (starts 3/11!)

If you're not loving these amazing black and white ensembles from Banana Republic for work this spring then you're quite possibly insane. These classic shapes and flattering neutrals are definitely in the "need to stock up" category for me right now. My closet is sadly lacking. I'm actually going to need to get those roll-up chino's ASAP!

  3. I think my problem is that I decide that I ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE IT and then I'm afraid that they won't have my size by the time it goes on sale. Certain stores are notorious for running out of sizes. I guess what I need to do is change that mentality. I do not have to have it right then! Generally, the only places I'll pay full price is the more affordable stores like Old Navy or Target because of that attitude.
