I'm saying farewell to March today, happily. It has been a rough month for a few different reasons and one that I won't be clinging on to. It was soaking wet, as it often is. It was filled with wedding planning stress and family stress and emergencies and way too much driving up and down I-5. I'm looking forward to a relatively silent April. I'd like to watch the trees bloom, paint my nails every three days, practice my calligraphy until my hands ache, and wear my boyfriend jeans non-stop for every single weekend.
There are also a few things coming up that will be welcome distractions from the rest of normal life - a beauty blogger brunch in PDX with some ladies I've been dying to meet, a visit from some Seattle friends in mid-April, and my grandmother will be coming through town for a dinner one evening. It should be a happy, spring-y month that's speckled with rain showers blooms all around. No more emergencies or dramas, please, world. I would like just one spring month off of everything but loveliness and calm.
P.S. To kick off a lovely April, Ovoloo (the store behind this cat-tank and the top that everyone raved about on of my recent posts) would like to offer all Ladies in Navy readers 20% off with this code! Use the code on their Amazon shop! I'd love to hear about it if you purchase anything!
