My All Day Beauty Look

I kind of have a thing for Neutrogena and Target. Quite frankly, if you're new to either of these amazing companies, I don't really know what to say to you except "what?! That's weird!" Walking into Target is walking into a minefield of potential (amazing) purchases. I actually walked in today and nearly had an aneurysm witnessing this magical striped top. I could hardly leave without touching it, putting it in my basket, and just checking out, willy nilly. Ben drug me away from the entire "women's clothing" area and I can't say it was easy for him. Walking into the Target beauty department on its own is like walking into a war zone for your wallet. There's no escaping it!

Drug store beauty, and specifically Neutrogena products (at Target, no less) make my beauty world go round - no joke. My entire make-up bag, that I lug with me everywhere, is about 90% Neutrogena. And my shower is equally composed of the naturals face wash, triple repair shampoo products, Rain Bath shower gel, foaming facial cleanser... it goes on and on. I'm a drugstore beauty girl through and through. Today, inspired by gorgeous Hayden Panetierre's Neutrogena Day Off look (embedded below), I am sharing my own all-day look with all Neutrogena products!

Step 1: Always moisturize. That preps your face for foundation and powder and keeps it not only hydrated but protected from the sun! Step 2: Apply some of Neutrogena's awesome healthy skin (it clears up break-outs) foundation! It's seriously so lightweight it didn't mask my freckles and hours later, it feels like nothing is coating my face.

Step 3: Apply mascara lightly to bottom and top lashes. No need for a ton when you're looking for a natural, all-day look! Step 4: Apply nourishing eyeliner in whatever shade flatters your skin tone and eye color (brown for blue eyes, black for brown eyes) to the top lid and corner of your lid. This won't weigh down your eyes or make you look like your eyes are smaller. Smudge with opposite end of the eyeliner applicator for smooth look.

Step 5: Apply shine control powder (it helps so much in the heat!) to your entire face being careful to use the light side of the applicator to avoid looking cake-y. Step 6: Easiest of all, apply papaya moisture-smooth color stick to your lips. It moisturizes and colors - perfect! I apply this multiple times a day.

I also want to bring it to your attention that Target, in its infinite wisdom, is bringing a beauty concierge to you on August 24th on to help you with make-up looks! Talk about department store beauty treatment! The event begins August 24th, with limited quantities available. Check with your local Target store for Beauty Concierge day and times!

  4. It's been so hot in Portland I've pared it down to sunscreen and maybe powder for now, and have to say the Neutrogena sunscreen also rocks!
