Our Just Desserts

I had an accessory catastrophe this morning. I just got this beautiful antique three strand pearl necklace that belonged to my grandmother in the mail from my mom and I was so excited to wear it with this outfit today. I got myself all put together for the day, added the pearls and admired myself in the mirror one last time before I headed out the door. And that is when one of the strands broke and sent the pearls skittering across the living room floor. I uttered a few unladylike words and began the long task of gathering the runaways into my hand. I had really counted on wearing pearls today, so I grabbed the single strand from Forever 21, featured here and here and just as I fastened it behind my neck, it too broke and sent its beads flying under the coffee table and couch. So it was going to be that kind of day, apparently. KW had to deal with some headache-inducing construction outside of her office all day, so we really deserved that delicious frozen yogurt from Gibson's down the street this afternoon!

    1. It's funny that you ask! I thought I had, and then one showed up next to my dog's water dish this afternoon! The wood floor didn't help anything. They just bounced and rolled all over the place. :(

Thank you for the sweet comment!
