Spots n' Stripes

This is my first foray into mixing patterns. I've seen the combination of stripes and leopard print around town and on other style blogs recently and I just love it! This tank top is one of my very favorites. I own it in three different colors. I do that with a lot of my basic items, actually. They are versatile, comfortable, and fit just the way I like. Reliable pieces like that are worth having in triplicate. I'm excited to try more adventurous pattern combos throughout this summer. Any particularly good ones I should be sure to try out?

    1. Thank you, Shannon! I'm glad it worked out! Pattern mixing done well can be great. Done wrong and you could wind up looking like a homeless lady.

  6. I'm fairly new to mixing prints, too, and I think you did great! I'm learning that stripes mix with just about anything (floral, polka dot, animal print, etc). I haven't been brave enough to mix to really crazy prints yet, but I'm working up my courage.

  7. The navy and green look great together I love the pattern mixing! I think you can really make any 2 patterns together as long as they're in the same color palette.

  10. Very nice outfit! I'm not too big on mixing patterns myself, I prefer to just play it straight with maybe one pattern and then lots of solids.
