Velvet Lapels

Blazer: American Eagle; Blouse: TJ Maxx; Pants: Gap; Shoes: JC Penney; Purse: Coach (similar)

I finally had the chance to get out of the house, dressed up, and see friends this weekend. I started Friday after work at happy hour with friends and then moved on to a delightful night full of laughs at CP's! Ben spent Saturday morning bottling beer again and then we went across the street to a little craft fair at King's Books. I got an adorable "Tacoma is for Lovers" tee that I am currently wearing and hope to feature in a blog post soon. We saw some awesome letterpress art - cards and prints - that I would have loved to purchase. It's nice to see such a thriving little artist's community here. I wore this outfit to the craft fair.

We then headed up north a few miles to Dash Point to visit a friend recovering from surgery and ended Saturday night with cupcakes and wine and some together time. We're finally feeling well enough to spend our weekends the way we'd like - seeing and getting caught up with friends. It has been very much missed over the last couple of weeks.

On a totally unrelated note - do any of you have pets that are picky eaters? Our vet recommended wet food for our kitty and he HATES it. He won't touch it and begs for his dry food. I've tried mixing tiny bits of the two together and he won't touch it. Suggestions are so appreciated!

  6. Cute look! Are the pants velvet? They're a really pretty color.

I would say just keep trying different flavors until u find one that he'll eat. Also, try offering him just plain old sardines! Usually cats need wet food, because they're not bigger drinkers so need the moisture. Sardines will provide him with that.
