I had some nice words all planned out about mixing patterns and being inspired by bloggers like Caitlin at A Little Dash of Darling, who is very brave (and successful) with pattern combinations. I also wanted to touch upon, again, the black and white trends for Spring... but then Google decided to ruin my day by giving google friend connect and google reader the boot on July 1st.
As someone that has always relied on Google Reader, whose follower base is entirely through Google Friend Connect (I have less than half the followers on Bloglovin, and about 2/3 on twitter/facebook) this comes as unfortunate news for Ladies in Navy. I am hopeful that we'll just spring back on some other platform, but pretty irritated that all the work I've done to grow this blog is essentially for naught. I guess I should have read the signs earlier and listened to other bloggers' fair warnings... oh well!
With that being said, I will be transferring my feed over to Bloglovin (for info on how to do that, click here) so that I don't lose track of the awesome folks I follow. I've already started cleaning out my Bloglovin feeds and making folders full of "Lifestyle Blogs" and "Favorite Blogs" and "Fashion Blogs," etc. I'm hopeful that you guys can do the same and join us on one of our other platforms. I would say that you should join us on Google Plus, but let's be honest folks. Google Plus is the "fetch" of this world and Google is Gretchen Wieners. It's NOT going to happen.
To follow us on a platform that's not talking a short walk off a long pier this July...
