Fourth Festivities

Top: Forever 21; Shorts: Gap; Sandals: Target; Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

As you can see, we had a beachy, relaxing 4th of July yesterday! We headed out to a friend's cabin on the waterfront and drank beer (clearly), ate watermelon, fried chicken, and, in true American style, cool ranch Doritos. We played football, frisbee, had water gun fights, lounged in the hot tub, and then everyone went paddleboarding while I stayed firmly planted on the shore avoiding any sea demons like giant squid or harbor seals. Safe, dry, and happy.

The weather didn't cooperate for much more than a few hours, so we headed back to town and got burgers and fries for dinner (really making it an American holiday all around) and went to a friend's apartment that overlooked the firework barge. From their window we watched the pretty show that was much too late for me as it doesn't get dark until about 10:15 or so at night. All in all it was a totally successful and very festive fourth and we had a blast.

Make sure you stop by Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins where I'm linking up for Friday's Five and also featured this week!
