True Colors with Hanes

I have always struggled with wearing backless items, racer-backs, maxis with non-traditional straps, and sheer tanks that don't conform to a standard bra strap structure. I'm not even kidding - it's the bane of my existence and I am not one for pasties... Is anyone, though? I don't think that those hold anything up. Do people actually buy and use them? I truly don't get it. Enlighten me, folks.

Regardless of my inability to understand the taping slash chicken cutlet sector, tops are all about non-traditional lines right now. The backless maxis and pretty thin-strapped tanks that are populating Asos and online shops right now are endearing. And I'm left with the question, how on earth do I make this work with my shape (and really standard T-shirt bra collection)?

Enter the Hanes collection, centered around making your underwear pretty enough to be peeking out of your outerwear. I'm not talking about sagging jeans and bright colored boxer shorts peeking out. No worries. I'm talking about my savior collection: safe, comfortable and supportive under-wear that looks good enough not to hide behind thick straps and traditional top shapes. As a testament to how much I love this collection of bright, on-trend bandinis, I am not taking any of them off to leave the house, to run errands, to visit the farmer's market. And that's saying something. Below are some of my favorite ways to wear my new bandinis (I didn't picture the boy-shorts or actual underwear below, so you can thank me now and just check out Hanes Undercovercolor tiles at the bottom of the post to get inspired).

These bandinis are appropriate for day-time looks to hit up local happy hours or even head out shopping. Love this pink color with the polka dots - it adds another element to the outfit altogether.

Hanes bandinis are appropriate for everything, I'm telling you. I wore a neon green bandini out to the dock the other day to take a walk and enjoy some summer sun. It was perfectly comfortable in the heat and made me feel as if I had another layer of style to add to my (less than stylish) outfit. Also, the ice cream dripping in the 90 degree heat definitely washed out quickly ;)... just kidding!

My Hanes #Undercovercolor is: Pink! Visit the Hanes color board to check out some adorable tiles and share your favorite undercover color here.

  9. Aww I love your colorful bras peeking through your tops! I have to admit that usually when I'm faced with a backless/super-strappy item, I just go braless! But I definitely am a fan of bandeaus, I think they look super cute under tanks!
