This weekend Ben and I took a trip out into Eastern Oregon past Hood River and The Dalles, to a secluded cabin on a river, down in a canyon. I hadn't been that far east along I-84, so the landscape of wind farms, wheat fields, and steep canyon walls was awesome (in the most literal awe-inspiring definition of the word). Our friends invited us out for a night of delicious wine, a home-cooked meal, and then a day of hunting for chukar and quail on their property. We were the only people for miles and miles and the silence that surrounded us was serene. Sleeping underneath thick wool blankets after a few glasses of wine and scotch was just what we needed - some time away from it all wrapped up in nothing by beautiful wilderness.
Back in Portland, I don't have an outfit post to share, don't have a shopping wants list or a product to recommend - I am still just reveling in the beauty of an untouched landscape. Hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed photographing them. And hope you all had a fantastic weekend as well!
