I have been neglecting the work-style elements of the blog lately. With spring and then summer's arrival, it felt so much nicer to feature pretty, bright, weekend outfits rather than my boring slacks, but the truth is that I wear work style more often than casual style. Well that and my robe... But that's not really blog appropriate.
I actually wear slacks pretty rarely in the warmer months to work. It might be because I have only two pairs I really love (from The Limited), or because I have a large collection of pencil skirts and they always seem so much more fun. When I put these on today after a few weeks left untended in the closet, I thought about how much I love a wide leg. I'm not a big fan of wider leg casual pants - palazzo or parachute or pajama style or wide leg - but somehow slacks just get away with it. The wide leg highlights heels perfectly, makes legs look longer, and is generally extremely comfortable. I think I need to invest some more time in buying great-fitting slacks. Or I need some great recommendations for wider-leg casual pants. Any thoughts?
