The Northwest goes through a temper tantrum in late September manifested in fits and spurts of weather. Sometimes I imagine that the clouds are throwing themselves on the ground and pounding their fists. It results in moments of pouring rain, whipping wind, sun breaks, muggy afternoons, thunderclaps, a hail storm here and there, and then a surprise 80 degree day with a hazy morning. I often find myself unable to dress for the weather. Today we had a rainy morning in the mid-fifties so I needed a jacket on my walk to work. But I also needed an umbrella, some shoes to wade through some leftover puddles, jeans for casual friday, but a sweater for the office, and a tee for when the sun came out around mid-day. By the time I got home, it was sprinkling a bit with blue skies in the distance and now the cold weather is rolling in. I swear... there's no rest for my rain jackets or t-shirts.
I guess that blabber was all to say that sometimes in the Northwest, you need your sunglasses (obsessed with these Kate Spade aviators) and your rain jacket. And sometimes you need both of those items for each hour of each day. For those of you experiencing predictable sunny fall weather, or those of you in the temperamental Northwest that need some sunglasses around noon and three p.m. each day, be sure to enter this giveaway to Glasses Spot below! If you can't wait, be sure to use the coupon code above to shop an awesome list of designer sunnies from Tory Burch to Kate Spade and back again to Ray Ban!
