I'm home sick with one of those gross colds. I technically feel good enough to be upright and eating normal meals (just with less ability to taste), but I am gross. That runny nose, coughing, hacking, loudly breathing, sweaty looking, ew.
It only makes sense that in the middle of this windy, dreary, rainy weather I'd be down with something miserable and seasonal. What the heck is up with winter that it throws so many punches at you? Miserable punches. Bad weather, pasty and dry skin, some extra winter-warmth-pounds, no energy, endless layers, break-outs, and then illness. Blergh. Can you tell I am just dying for some sunshine?
Quite possibly the only saving grace of this gloom is this new jacket from Joules. It's a) quilted, b) has elbow patches, c) is equestrian, and d) is something new in my winter weather wardrobe that isn't black. Hallelujah!
